Since you’re already at our website, you’re probably well aware that teens like yourself will have another chance to learn potentially life-saving driving skills through the Bridgestone Teens Drive Smart Driving Experience. In short, the free program pairs classroom instruction with hands-on driving exercises to teach teen drivers how to better handle accident avoidance and the importance of eliminating distracted driving behaviors. The half-day workshop will travel to 11 cities throughout the US, hosting its first stop at the Maverik Center in Salt Lake City, UT., on May 16th and 17th. You can find the full schedule here!
“Car crashes are still one of the leading causes of death among teenagers, and Bridgestone’s Teens Drive Smart program is committed to helping change that statistic,” said Rachel Withers, Manager, Teens Drive Smart Program, Bridgestone Americas. “We remain dedicated to helping young drivers develop the skills needed to handle the challenges of the roads and show them that smarter driving is safer for everyone on the road.” Bridgestone’s Driving Experience sessions are led by highly trained instructors, many with motorsports, stunt driving and test track experience, so they are the perfect drivers to learn from! They understand critical vehicle dynamics and put the students through practice maneuvers that can be replicated in real-life scenarios to help avoid crashes. The instructors show these life-saving driving concepts, share tips to improve reaction time and provide constructive feedback – all in a fun, supervised environment. If you want, invite your parents and siblings to watch and see what you’re being taught. Who knows, maybe they will learn a thing or two!
