I was born as the fourth and youngest child to an Egyptian father and a Filipino mother about seventeen years ago in the country Oman. My family came to the United States when I was a month old and as a young babe I began developing passions that were about as diverse as my background. My interests swelled in tennis, football, cycling, chess, guitar, rap, jazz, and videography. It took me until my sophomore year in high school to realize I wasn’t really good at any of those things except maybe videography—so now I’m trying to cultivate my passion into a career as a film director. It was a tough decision to decide against going to film school; I ended up making my mind to instead enroll at the University of Pennsylvania as a freshman this fall, where I’m trying to get a dual degree in Cinema Studies and Marketing. I can’t thank my brother enough for always letting me use his camera equipment.
