My love for creating started when I was quite young. My parents brought me to the movie theater, and unlike most toddlers who would pay very little attention to the actual film, I sat still through the entire run, not saying a word. I hardly blinked. It was only when the film ended that I spoke. The first thing out of my mouth was, “That is the biggest TV I ever saw!” From that moment, my passion had been for the arts.
I wanted to perform and sing onstage in front of the world and share my imagination with everyone. One day I was fortunate enough to get my hands on a camcorder, and the rest is history.
In fifth grade, I was researching how to make special effects, and by high school, I was actually creating the effects! I took all of the editing and film classes possible, and when I had passed them all, I landed as an intern for the Springfield telecommunication department. During my internship, I received some of the best experience and advice. Not only was I a part of the broadcast industry, but I was producing original content seen by the public with my name in the credits!
It was at that moment that I knew what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I needed to go to film school, I needed to create and I needed to tell stories. To this day, my dream is to be one of the best directors that the world has ever seen. With the help of the Bridgestone Teens Drive Smart college scholarship, that is a dream that could quite possibly become a reality!
