This Isn’t a Playground . . . It’s My Car

So you know how in Egypt, they have caravans with camels? Well, have you ever traveled with a group of your friends from one place to the next? Yeah, it’s kind of like your own Egyptian caravan - one car after the next.

The funny thing is how the simplest things - like a caravan of you and your friends’ cars - can make people lose all common sense. From excessively waving to speeding to purposely bumping into each other’s car at stoplights (yes, this does happen), these sorts of distractions can make a safe driver go crazy. So here’s what you can say to your passengers to make sure they behave in your car.

  • “Hey guys! Not to be annoying, but can you guys quiet down a bit? I’m still getting used to the idea of driving with other people in the car.”
  • “Uh, yeah. We’re not going to speed to catch up with them. If I get a ticket or in an accident, you may never see me again. My parents will ground me for life.”
